Through Assisted Living Treatment, we encourage residents to keep their active and social lives. Our group believes that just because someone needs assistance with daily living activities does not mean that they are losing their independence or uniqueness.
Singerly
Singerly, our first home, has been in Cecil Area for over 13 years. Singerly offers two spaces: a sunroom and a large front porch. Singerly is well-known for its caring nature. Singerly is an active participant in the community and enjoys participating in many celebrations that locals and their families enjoy. Singerly was the first step in a quest for senior care. Both are relatives and will serve as the criteria for senior care in Cecil Area.
What is Assisted Living?
A residential community known as an assisted living facility preserves some independence for the older adults.
Senior homeowners in assisted living communities live in their own rooms. They can keep their schedules in order and have access to various social activities and events in public.
What is In-Home Care?
As their name implies, at-home caregivers can visit your moms or dads in their homes or offer services in a rehab or health center.
In-home caregivers are also known as buddies or non-medical home-care providers. They can offer a wide range of services depending on the needs of your loved one and the care plan that you have created together. At-home caregivers can help moms and fathers with their daily activities, such as getting dressed, moving around, making meals, and doing laundry.
Many people believe that living in their homes is more cost-friendly than moving to an assisted living facility. However, loved ones often disagree on the best senior care option for a family member who is older or diagnosed as having a chronic condition.
Compare the costs of Home Care and Assisted Living
The monthly fees for assisted living communities can seem excessive if a loved one doesn’t have to pay a mortgage. Many people stop working because they don’t think about the costs that a senior might have to pay as they age.
- House cleaning
- Lawn care
- Utilities
- Home mortgage insurance
- Security system
- Snow removal
- Appliance repair
- Personal duty caregivers
Understanding the benefits of assisted living
As with home care, assisted living allows seniors to remain independent longer. Assistive living residents usually live in comfortable, inviting apartments. They can rest easy knowing that caregivers are available 24 hours a day if they need them.
If your loved one has a repeating or specific need, assisted living might be the best option. Consider these situations.
- They have difficulty managing their medications and refilling prescriptions.
- You no longer need to drive, and you can now access transportation.
- We have movement problems that can increase the chance of a fall.
- We have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or another type of dementia.
- They live in an older house that is not designed for senior safety.
