When used with assistive technology and house modifications, in-home treatment can make it easier for seniors to age in their own homes. The home care assistant can provide personal support, friendship, as well as monitoring to seniors that could be placed in a long-term care community, while still allowing them to remain in their own homes.
Assistive living is one of many options for elders when it comes to caring alternatives. While some treatment options, such as part-time in-home care or independent living, may cost less, others, like memory treatment and experienced nursing, will likely cost you significantly more. To help seniors decide the best treatment for them, they can consult their doctors.
